Requesting a Letter of Acceptance

Should you need a letter of invitation as part of your Visa application for travel to Canada, please follow the steps below:

STEP 1: LEARN THE CANADA VISA REQUIREMENTS/RULES/PROCEDURES

Visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada for more information about the visa application process and requirements for obtaining a Visa. It is the responsibility of the attendee/applicant to understand and follow the procedures as specified by the Canadian Government. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible as Visas may take several months to be granted.

STEP 2: REGISTER

Please register for the conference. An acceptance letter cannot be issued unless your paper is accepted and we have a record of a paid registration. This is a necessary and non-negotiable requirement.

STEP 3: PROVIDE REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR YOUR INVITATION LETTER

Email a "Request for Acceptance Letter" to Martin Jun (mbgjun@uvic.ca). You must include all of the following information in your email:

  1. PERSONAL INFORMATION
    1. Full name as it appears on your passport. Please CAPITALIZE the family name
    2. Gender
    3. Date of birth
    4. Title
  2. CONTACT INFORMATION
    1. Mailing address (both work and home)
    2. Contact phone number
    3. Fax number
  3. PAPER INFORMATION
    1. Paper number
    2. Paper title
